Pear Preserves!

Pear Preserves!  I took off a day of work and made some pear preserves, I had the time and I have found that sometimes you just have to take off and do something you enjoy! A girl at work said  making preserves sounds like work, but I told her it was my fun time!  Our pear tree is loaded , I made two loaves of pear bread last weekend.

Beautiful garden this year!

It's coming to an end, but our garden has been beautiful this year! Green beans, purple hull peas, pinto beans, tomatoes, okra, squash, zuchinni and bell peppers!  Everything has flourished from our unseasonably cooler summer with lots of rain!  Below are pictures of my beautiful green beans.

 We canned 72 jars!!

gibson girl barbie dress

I just finished my Gibson Girl barbie dress, really enjoyed crocheting the dress and adding the final touches!  Think I will keep this one for myself!

Proud grandparents!

Sunday May 18, 2014 my husband and I witnessed  one of a grandparents greatest joys!  Our two oldest granddaughters Caitlyn and Isabella were baptized.  It was a wonderful, joyous day!

Crochet Embroidery Doll Dresses

I  crocheted these dresses and put them on the dolls for my grandbabies !  They are all little princesses so I know they will enjoy these princess dolls. My daughter said she would like one too!

Embroidery pillow

 My sweet husband, bought me a new sewing machine with embroidery attachements for Christmas. This is the pillow I made with bible verses downloaded from Sewbirds' Stitches.  I thought it turned out lovely, my mom wants one for Christmas!

My favorite blessings

These are the six beautiful blessings that call me Nana.  It's hard to get them all together but I caught them at a birthday party!
